But she couldn’t linger on those thoughts just yet, she clearly had work to do. She was overwhelmed both from the clutter and the realization that this was her home. It took a moment for her to even move from her spot. “Maybe I should’ve accepted the boys’ offer to come up here after all,” she lamented to herself. Hannah was left alone, surrounded by the intense clutter around her. “Good luck,” was the last thing she said before leaving and shutting the door behind her. Do whatever you want with the appliances and furniture, but I doubt any of ‘em are usable.” She placed a hand on Hannah’s shoulder. But the crates and boxes stay until I say so. “Now like I said before, everything in here stays in here, unless it’s obvious trash. “Welcome to your new home,” Cid said, gesturing out into the space. She could make out two sets of doors on the wall to her right, and a large door on the back wall that she was pretty sure was made out of transparisteel, despite how clouded it was. She was fairly certain there was a kitchen area nearby, with a small island to boot, but the countertops were filthy and littered with junk. And not in a positive way.Ĭrates, boxes, and other various items littered the space, making it almost impossible to navigate. The sight she was met with left her stunned. Hannah had to blink a few times to adjust to the light.

Then Cid flipped a switch on the wall and light filled the space from an overhanging lamp in the center of the room. It was dark inside aside from what little light was feeding in through the open door, so she couldn’t see much other than some sort of crate next to her. Taking a deep breath, Hannah stood back up and steadied herself for a second before following Cid inside the door. “Boy, you weren’t kiddin’ when you said you didn’t get out much.” She punched some buttons on a panel next to the door and it slid open. “When you said… the place was… upstairs… I didn’t think… you meant… so many stairs…”Ĭid shook her head at the still panting Hannah. Behind her, Hannah was bent over, leaning on her own knees for support and panting heavily.

“Here we are!” Cid exclaimed as she gestured to the door in front of her. Part 1 of My Life With The Bad Batch Next Work → Stats: Published: Completed: Words: 75,206 Chapters: 18/18 Comments: 4 Kudos: 25 Bookmarks: 5 Hits: 1,283
